Behold, something new
“Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it…” (Isa 43:19). The Lord promises to do a new thing. A thing that is different, that has not been before. A new thing is one that excites; something that causes hope to well up within. It is something to look forward to; one that in a unique way, refreshes the spirit, and fills it with strength. A new thing is something with all its potentials still in its freshest and purest state. Undefiled as yet by the trials, pains, and despair which time will inevitably bring. In life we must always be thankful for those precious moments when our creator gives to us the blessing and benefits of new things. When we have outspent the benefits and goodness He bestows on us, through endless worries and anxieties; then we must thankfully and eagerly receive the new things He offers us.
