The struggles within

“I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out” Rom (7:18). The desire to do what is right and a lack of ability to carry it out: describes in clear terms, the inner struggles we face in our Christian walk. These struggles are the fine lines, which separate the Christian from the Sinner. “Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin” James (4:1). A Christian must know to do good, have a desire to do what is good, and actually carry it out. Any thing outside of this, presents an ideal setting for an inner struggle. The struggle within, is the battle of the mind; one of good over evil. An unrelenting quest to control mind and body - by the forces of Good on the one hand and that of Evil on the other - and man, the object of this quest, must choose on which side to stand, and fight. For there are no neutral grounds, only one of two choices is possible – for or again
